Dr. Kelly Haugen, PsyD
Dr. Kelly Haugen is a licensed psychologist based in Helena, Montana, and founder of Trailhead Psychology. She earned her Doctorate and Master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology (Child and Adolescent Emphasis) from Pacific University, and holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Montana State University in Bozeman.
Dr. Haugen’s work is grounded in a comprehensive, developmentally informed approach to understanding emotional, behavioral, and neurodevelopmental concerns. Her clinical experience spans a range of settings, including inpatient and residential treatment, outpatient clinics, school-based programs, and juvenile justice facilities. Across these settings, she has provided psychological and neuropsychological evaluations, individual and family therapy, as well as consultation and supervision.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr. Haugen enjoys woodworking, spending time outdoors—particularly camping and fly fishing—and connecting with family and friends.
Relationship with Big River Psychology
Trailhead Psychology, PLLC is an independent private practice. The practice shares office space and reception services with Big River Psychology, which supports scheduling and referrals. Clinical services and professional responsibilities are provided independently by Trailhead Psychology.
